Veeam Agent for Windows is a backup agent designed to provide backup and recovery of Windows machines. Veeam Agent for Windows performs file-level, volume-level or full system backups.
How do I install Veeam Agent for Windows?
Veeam Agent for Windows integrates with Probax Scout, and can be installed by following our Scout installation guide or using the manual installation method.
What license options are available?
Veeam Agent for Windows has two licensing options:
- Veeam Agent for Windows Workstation
- Veeam Agent for Windows Server
These licenses can be installed on either operating system - this means that you can have a workstation license on a server operating system, and vice versa. You can find a full breakdown of the differences between each edition on Veeam's edition comparison.
Probax also offers 5 free Veeam Agent Workstation licenses for partners that are Bronze partner level or above, and offer complementary Cloud Connect licences with Veeam Agent that is licensed through Probax.
Can Veeam Agent for Windows backup virtual machines onsite or in a public cloud?
Yes. Veeam Agent for Windows can backup physical hosts and virtual hosts. This is especially helpful when you don't have access to the hypervisor, as is the case with public clouds such as Azure and AWS.
