In this guide, we’ll demonstrate how to create a Bare-Metal Restore ISO using Veeam Agent for Windows deployed by Probax Scout in our "How to: Deploy Servers or Workstation Protection" KB.
Creating a Bare-Metal Restore ISO using Veeam Agent for Windows:
- From the Windows Start Menu, under Veeam, launch Create Recovery Media:
- The Create Recovery Media window will launch. At the Recovery Media step, we’ll accept the defaults and select Next:
NOTE: If you wish to include the decryption key, it will be written to the ISO allowing anyone with access to the ISO, access to your backups. If you wish to use enable this feature, the encryption key can be found in MSP Backup.
- In the Image Path step, choose the ISO name and save location, then select Next:
- At the Ready to Apply step, select Create:
- In the Progress step, allow the ISO to finish creation, then select Finish:
- Navigate to your save location to find the newly created ISO:
